Wolfgang Becker's Good Bye, Lenin walked off with the lion's share of trophies at this weekend's European Film Awards in Berlin. The East German comedy won six awards at the event, which showcases the best in European cinema each year, including Best European Film, Best Actor and three prizes from the European Choice Awards, chosen by the public including Best Director and Best Actress. Other winners included Lars Von Trier who picked up a prize as Best Director for Dogville. As for British talent, Charlotte Rampling won the award for Best Actress for her role in Swimming Pool while UK cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle took home the award for Best European Screenwriter for his work with 28 Days Later and Dogville.
