By now, you'll likely know that one of the main elements of X-Men: Apocalypse is the titular baddie (played by Oscar Isaac) gathering a set of mutant followers called the Horsemen. Now you can find arty character posters of the various recruits, with Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and the young Storm (Alexandra Shipp) kicking things off above.
Apocalypse is set in 1983 and finds the mutant characters we've come to know from First Class and Days Of Future Past at very different places in their lives. Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Hank "Beast" McCoy (Nicholas Hoult) are running their school for gifted youngsters, helping mutants understand and harness their powers. Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) is out in the world taking her own, proactive stance, saving her kind from exploitation and oppression. Erik "Magneto" Lensherr, meanwhile, has foresworn the fight in favour of a quiet family life in Poland. But all that changes when Apocalypse awakens from thousands of years of slumber, enraged that humanity has embraced shoulder pads and still thinks digital watches are a pretty neat idea. So he decides that the world needs a reboot. And, by boosting the powers of Magneto, Storm, Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Angel (Ben Hardy), he creates his followers...
With Bryan Singer back as director again, X-Men: Apocalypse is out on May 19.
