Howard Hughes is a compelling subject for filmmakers, and Warren Beatty has finally taken his crack at a story about (or at least around) the man and the legend. The latest trailer for Rules Don't Apply is now online.

But though Beatty is writing, directing and playing Hughes, the story here really follows aspiring actress Marla Mabrey (Lily Collins) and handsome driver Frank Forbes (Alden Ehrenreich). She's under contract to Hughes' film studio and he's the man to shuttle her around, with the golden rule being that no employee must have a relationship with a contract actress.

But – and the movie's title might offer a clue to what happens – sparks fly between the beauty queen (who happens to be a devout Baptist) and the driver, a staunch Methodist engaged to his childhood sweetheart, no matter how much they try to deny it. As they're drawn deeper into Hughes' bizarre world, their lives are forever changed.

Beatty has rounded up a cast that includes Annette Bening, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Matthew Broderick and Haley Bennett for this one. US audiences see Rules Don't Apply starting 23 November, but it's still listed as "coming soon" over here.
