Is it the end of the end of the world? That's what the trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter appears to be promising, dangling the prospect of Milla Jovovich's Alice finally putting an end to the terror unleashed by the evil Umbrella Corporation. Check out the latest trailer below.
This "international" version is not all that different from the trailer that arrived about 10 days ago, mostly providing a few new moments of Jovovich in predictably kick-ass mode and giving us a look at some of the fresh – a relative term given their state – beasties that Umbrella and their team have conjured up.
What we know of the story for this one is this: Alice, having somehow survived the onslaught of the infected in Washington, is inexorably drawn back to the beginning in Raccoon City, where the villainous AI known as the Red Queen offers her a chance to end it all with a cure for the T-Virus that has been causing all the problems so far. It's probably a trap, but what's a few lives in the service of actually trying to save the world this time?
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will kick, punch, stab and shoot its way into UK cinemas on 3 February.
