A couple of weeks ago, we got our first look at Elizabeth Banks in costume as Rita Repulsa, the big villain in the new Power Rangers film. Now it's the turn of the heroes, as Entertainment Weekly has posted the initial image of the team in their full armour. Check it out above.

The five – Becky G as Yellow Ranger Trini, Ludi Lin as Black Ranger Zack, Dacre Montgomery as Red Ranger Jason, Naomi Scott as Pink Ranger Kimberly, and RJ Cyler as Blue Ranger Billy – are swapping the traditional suits for something a little more alien. In this case, extraterrestrial armour that crystallises around them. “It’s tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume,” says production designer Andrew Menzies. “Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.”

The new Power Rangers, directed by Project Almanac's Dean Israelite, will be out on March 24 next year.
