Ron Howard, Tom Hanks and Brian Grazer are back in Da Vinci Code novelist Dan Brown's world for the adaptation of the writer's tome Inferno, so you know what that means... Yup, Hanks' Robert Langdon is running around beautiful European scenery looking for clues. Check out the latest short trailer.
Inferno finds Langdon in Italy, grappling with a chilling puzzle revolving around Dante’s Inferno. He’ll face an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. And he’ll need the help of doctor Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), who comes to his aid as his enemies have apparently messed with his memory and implicated him in a serious theft.
And on top of all that, there's a mad genius planning to wipe out half of the world's population, and some governments are interested in the virus, which means that Langdon is under even more threat than usual...
This time around, there's a hint of a viral aspect (in terms of marketing, not lethal infection), as the trailer includes Langdon's email address. All you get so far is an out-of-office message, but it'll be divulging more as the movie's October 14 release date creeps closer.
