Since the Golden Raspberry Awards traditionally announce their nominations the day before the Oscar nods arrive, today (or rather yesterday) is the day. And wouldn’t you know it? The likes of** The Last Airbender**, Gulliver’s Travels, The Bounty Hunter and more have been given entry to that exclusive Hollywood club no one really wants to be in.
M Night Shyamalan’s latest and the most recent outing of the Twilight franchise, Eclipse, scored the most nods, with nine apiece. But there were even more deserving nominees with Sex and the City 2 and **Vampires Suck **scoring plenty – and the latter deserves to “win” ‘em all (must… not... remember… film).
Poor old Jessica Alba came in for a rougher time than she suffered at the hands of Casey Affleck in T****he Killer Inside Me, scooping a Worst Supporting Actress nomination for every film she appeared in this year as one big block (which seems a bit unfair to her performance in that serial killer drama, but then the Razzies are not exactly known for subtlety or, indeed, fairness). Still, we have to agree with the new category, taking aim at “the most eye-gouging mis-use of 3D."
The Razzies will be given out on February 26, the night before the Oscars, and the full list of nominees is below.
