With this year's BAFTAS headed our way next month (the full nominations will be released this week), we now know who is among the contenders for the Rising Star award. This year's crop includes Lashana Lynch, Harris Dickinson, Ariana DeBose, Millicent Simmonds and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Lynch, of course, was last seen as MI6 agent Nomi in No Time To Die, but has also been in the likes of Captain Marvel and Fast Girls. She'll next crop up in the movie musical version of Matilda and alongside Viola Davis in The Woman King (more on that here).
Dickinson was on screens recently in The King's Man playing Conrad Oxford, but he's been working steadily since the likes of Beach Rats. He's also appeared in Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil and The Souvenir Part II. He has Where The Crawdads Sing and See How They Run on the way.
DeBose might be better known for her Broadway work (she was part of the ensemble of Hamilton and famously plays the bullet that ends his life), but she broke through in a big way with Steven Spielberg's West Side Story. Next up is Guy Ritchie's spy thriller Argylle.
Simmonds stole scenes in both A Quiet Place movies and has also worked on Wonderstruck. She's attached to play Helen Keller in Helen & Teacher, which is still in development.
As for McPhee, he's attracting awards attention for his performance in Jane Campion's The Power Of The Dog and has credits in everything from the more recent X-Men movies (he's Nightcrawler), Slow West and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. His next appearance will be in Baz Luhrmann's film about Elvis Presley.
As we mentioned above, the BAFTA nominations proper are scheduled for Thursday and the awards themselves happen on 13 March.
