Saturday night saw the Producers Guild of America throw its annual awards bash and, in another boost to its Oscar chances, La La Land took home the main film award.
It's yet another trophy for the film's already stacked cabinet, or possibly for a box in Sebastian's (Ryan Gosling) apartment while he figures out his life. Elsewhere, Zootropolis/topia scored again, with Disney's Clark Spencer picking up another award.
On both film and TV it was good to be in the O.J. Simpson history business as O.J.: Made In America won the documentary film prize, while The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story nabbed the long-form TV prize. And Stranger Things went away with the Episodic Television gong, while Donald Glover's Atlanta won another award, in the comedy category.
