He's been seen in films such as 2011's The Thing and After Earth, and he'll be cropping up on telly as Tormund Giantsbane in Game Of Thrones this season, and Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju has just nabbed another high-profile role, signing on to be an imposing henchman in the new Fast & Furious film.
Nothing is known about his character beyond the fact that he'll be one of the people causing trouble for Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto and the gang, but then the film itself is still being kept secret even as it has started shooting.
There has been talk of Charlize Theron as the main villain, but no official confirmation has emerged, so her participation remains a rumour for now. The film, known as Fast 8, will feature the return of Michelle Rodriguez's Letty, Lucas Black's Sean, Tyrese Gibson's Roman, Ludacris' Tej, Dwayne Johnson's Hobbs and Jason Statham's villainous Deckard Shaw. With F. Gary Gray directing and talk of some potential location shooting in Cuba to complement work in Atlanta, New York and Iceland, Fast 8 will be out on April 14, 2017.
