We've been eagerly awaiting the return of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's acclaimed, accomplished sitcom Fleabag. Now we know that she's brought Kristin Scott Thomas and Fiona Shaw aboard as guest stars.

Shaw's hiring, of course, represents her reuniting with Waller-Bridge after her role in Killing Eve, which means now we're thinking of a televisual Bridge-verse and hoping to see other people cross between projects. Jodie Comer in Fleabag, anyone?

The writer/producer/actress was typically funny talking about her new hires: "They literally begged me to be in it. Begged me," says Waller-Bridge. "Begged. One of them was crying."

"Phoebe Waller-Bridge cannot be ignored," says Scott Thomas. "She manages to hit core issues with sledgehammer brutality as she trips along with a spring in her step. I laughed helplessly as I binge-watched the first brilliantly funny series and enjoyed being aghast at times."

Shaw and Scott-Thomas join fellow new hire Andrew Scott (playing a priest who gives Waller-Bridge's main character a new outlook on life) and returning actors Olivia Colman, Sian Clifford, Bill Paterson, Brett Gelman, Jenny Rainsford, Hugh Skinner and Hugh Dennis. Fleabag series 2 doesn't have a set return date, but should be back early this year.
