Having switched from the big screen to small for Devs, writer/director Alex Garland has already returned to movies for his next film, Men, which stars Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear. But he's already got plans for a follow-up called Civil War, recruiting Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Cailee Spaeny to star.

All that Garland – teaming up once again with US company A24 – has released so far about the movie is that it's a near-future tale of America, and with that title, it sounds like it'll chronicle a deeply divided America falling into the conflict that has been predicted in the country.

Deadline has heard it's an "action epic", though of course it'll feature the sort of social commentary and bigger themes that Garland includes in his films. There's no release date set yet for either Men or (unsurprisingly, since it has yet to film), Civil War.
