Looking to do something a little different before he revisits the world of Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Harry Hart (Colin Firth), Matthew Vaughn's latest dip into the world of Kingsman is a prequel, now known as The King's Man. WE SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE, VAUGHN. Now we have our first look at the title treatment (above) and we'd be surprised if a teaser or some imagery weren't hot on its heels.
With that initial glimpse of the new name comes some official confirmation of the story for the new film, which will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, Charles Dance, Matthew Goode, Gemma Arterton, Djimon Hounsou, Daniel Brühl, Stanley Tucci and Tom Hollander and boasts an early 1900s setting. It reads thus: "As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them." Jolly good.
Written by Vaughn alongside regular collaborator Jane Goldman, the new film is targeting a 14 February release next year, so if you're looking for an espionage-themed date night at the cinema, here you go.
