According to trusty sources of our friends over at IGN Filmforce, Jerry Bruckheimer's forthcoming King Arthur epic may well have found their leading man. And if your finely honed English sensibilities were shocked to the very core by Kevin Costner's yankee drawl in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, rest easy. For who have they have lined up to play the most English of folk heroes but your fellow countryman, Clive Owen. Seemingly forever tipped to play the more modern folk hero James Bond, Owen has long awaited such a call to the cinema big time after putting in time as TV's Chancer and successfully graduating to the big screen with films like Gosford Park and Croupier. With shooting scheduled to start later this spring in Ireland under the direction of Training Day helmer Antoine Fuqua, the epic's promising combination of battles and sandals could do wonders for Owen's career. After all it worked for Russell Crowe and a little film called Gladiator.
