But danger in the kitchen has been tackled at least once before on film – in 1978’s Who Is Killing The Great Chefs Of Europe?
Now Warners has decided that the time is ripe for a remake of the movie, and assigned Family Guy and Futurama writer David A Goodman to pen a Las Vegas-set redo called simply Who Is Killing The Great Chefs?
Oliver Platt will take over the role of a food critic trying to win back the heart of his ex-wife, a beautiful pastry chef. But his romantic agenda runs into problems when the famous cooks in town start being murdered and he’s considered the prime suspect. With a Theatre Of Blood-style theme (the chefs are offed in a darkly comic method that echoes their most famous dish), the film is now on the hunt for a director and a few more cast members.
