State Of Play director Kevin Macdonald has signed on to direct Murder Mystery from James Vanderbilt’s script.
The story, which had been in development at Disney before the studio shoved it into turnaround, will follow an American couple on their honeymoon who stumble upon a murder and are thrust into international intrigue. The moral of the story, kids? Stay in the honeymoon suite for the entire duration of your stay.
Independent production company Tower Hill plucked the screenplay from limbo and hired Macdonald, who is busy editing Roman soldier drama The Eagle Of The Ninth.
Murder Mystery should start shooting on location across Europe later this year.
