You might think that Kevin Feige already enjoyed a powerful position within Marvel, overseeing film division Marvel Studios, and largely reporting only to the big brass at Disney. But the chief architect of the MCU just became even more influential, as all of Marvel's creative divisions – including TV and publishing – will now be under his control.
It's a move that comes in the wake of huge success with the Marvel movies to date, capped by Avengers: Endgame this year. With this move, he'll oversee everything from his previous domain to creative work on TV (he was already headed that way working on shows for Disney+ that will tie in with future phases of the films), comics, books and animation.
And yes, it's largely a dry business story of a successful person getting more responsibility, but it does concern us that Feige would take on more duties while also agreeing to develop and produce a Star Wars entry for Lucasfilm. Still, if anyone can do it...
