The cast of Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class could all see their number in the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game go down by a few digits – the actor has been offered the role of the main villain in the movie.
While the exact details of the bad guy is unknown, Deadline reports that Bacon is in talks to snatch the role, which would see him facing off against James McAvoy’s Professor Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender’s Erik Lensherr and the young mutants they’re training to help the world.
There has been a flurry of casting on the film in recent weeks, with the likes of Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee), Alice Eve (Emma Frost) and Lucas Till (Havoc) all signing on, with the likelihood of a few more to come.
With a script re-written by Vaughn and regular collaborator Jane Goldman, **X-Men: First Class **will start shooting next month.
