And, since she’s in the middle of making a deal for the film, Radha Mitchell will apparently star as his wife in the story of a family who unwittingly bring something nasty back from a holiday to the Grand Canyon. No, it’s not the ghost of an annoyed donkey who was taken on too many trail walks; it’s a fear-powered supernatural force that creates havoc in their usually quiet home. Like Patrick Wilson and the Insidious gang, it’s probably going to be a problem to shake: if it managed to make it all the way from the Canyon, a change of address won’t really help.
**Wolf Creek **writer/director Greg McLean will be marshalling the terror this time as the latest filmmaker hired by Jason Blum and his team to wrangle up a low-budget chiller. He’s set to start the cameras rolling and the actors screaming next month in Los Angeles.
Mitchell is a veteran of McLean’s work, having co-starred in killer croc movie Rogue, while Bacon will be reporting from the second season of The Following and trying to forget that the last time he tangled with supernatural forces, the result was R.I.P.D.
