Writer-director John Herzfeld is certainly building an eclectic cast for his new indie project Reach M****e. Just a couple of days ago, he scored Sylvester Stallone. Now he’s dipping into the world of actors who’ve scored big on TV, with Kelsey Grammer, Kyra Sedgwick and Thomas Jane all jumping aboard.
There’s still a vague air of mystery surrounding who they will all play, but we do know that Herzfeld’s script follows several characters who cross paths because of a self-help book written by a former American football coach.
And Stallone, Sedgwick, Grammer and Jane are just the tip of a thespian iceberg that also includes Carey Elwes, Elizabeth Henstridge, Danny Aiello, Terry Crews, Omari Hardwick and rapper Nelly.
They’re all already hard at work (wait... no... Jane just stopped to eat a sandwich) on the film, which is shooting now in Los Angeles.
Grammer can currently be found playing the hard-ass mayor of Chicago in Boss. Sedgwick has just finished a long and successful run on cop drama The Closer. And Jane is a gigolo. In the HBO show Hung, not real life.
