With every new piece of casting on the Baywatch film that will star Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario, it’s becoming clear that the movie will feature characters from the show. Take, for example, model and actress Kelly Rohrbach, who Johnson has announced as playing C.J. Parker, the role once brought to swim suited life by Pamela Anderson.
As he is wont to do these days given his huge social media following, Johnson introduced the new C.J. to the world via the medium of silly Instagram videos, including this one about the art of running in slow motion, a Baywatch TV staple.
And then there’s this one, which sees The Rock testing whether Rohrbach is tough enough to join the team. Cheat!
The film, which has Seth Gordon directing, finds Johnson inheriting the role of by-the-books lifeguard Mitch Glazer from David Hasselhoff, with Daddario as Summer Quinn, originally assayed by Nicole Eggert in the ‘90s and Efron as an unspecified hotheaded young guard who must help his colleagues take on an oil tycoon’s plans that include beach-threatening environmental chaos.
In addition to her modelling career, Rohrbach has been seen on screen in shows such as The PET Squad Files, Deadbeat, Rizzoli & Isles and Two And A Half Men. She also has a role in Woody Allen’s still-untitled film for this year alongside Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg.
