Having pivoted from comedy to horror with critically/culturally successful and Oscar-winning effect with Get Out and Us, Jordan Peele is busy setting up his much-anticipated follow-up to that one-two punch. While much about his next film is still under wraps, we do know that Keke Palmer will star.
Universal has, under the five-year deal it made with him, opened its corporate piggy bank to fund Peele's next effort, which seems likely to once again be in the horror-thriller genre.
Palmer is locked in, but there's further excitement as The Illuminerdi is reporting that both Daniel Kaluuya and Jesse Plemons, who are both on screen in Judas And The Black Messiah, have both been offered roles. Kaluuya, whose potential casting would mark a Get Out reunion with Peele, is also popping up on trade site mentions, so it sounds like he's close to a deal. Yet we'd be happy to see Plemons show up too. Universal wants the new film ready for July next year.
