Keira Knightley In Talks For Laggies

What a difference a month (and a few days) make. Back at the end of March, Anne Hathaway was all set to star in Laggies with Chloe Moretz and Sam Rockwell. Now Keira Knightley appears set to take the role instead.

Laggies, which boasts a script by Andrea Seigel and has Your Sister’s Sister filmmaker Lynn Shelton on directing duty, follows a young woman (Knightley, assuming she makes a deal), reacting rather badly to her boyfriend’s marriage proposal. She pretends that she’s headed off on a business retreat, but instead hides out with a new best pal, 16-year-old Annika (Moretz).

While Hathaway had been in talks to take on the part, a Christopher Nolan-shaped problem got in the way given that her work on his sci-fi pic Interstellar will overlap with the Laggies’ shoot.

Knightley (who showed no such worries about a marriage proposal and got hitched over the weekend - congratulations!), is due to turn up in Jack Ryan (out December 26) and John Carney’s **Can A Song Save Your Life? **alongside Mark Ruffalo and James Corden.
