Director Ben Wheatley locked in his main cast for his adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca last year, with Armie Hammer, Lily James and Kristin Scott Thomas joining the film. He's rounding out the ensemble, adding Keeley Hawes, Ann Dowd, Sam Riley and Ben Crompton.

With Kingsman writer Jane Goldman scripting this take on the story, it'll once more follow a newly-married young woman who, on arriving at her husband's imposing family estate on a bleak English coast, finds herself battling the shadow of his dead first wife, the mysterious Rebecca, whose legacy continues to haunt the house.

Working Title is on as the production company, with Netflix snapping up the chance to carry the film once Wheatley finishes work on it. He'll have the cameras rolling in the UK (and then France) starting this coming week. After which, we expect he'll make three other movies in secret.

Hawes was part of the Beeb's Bodyguard, while Dowd is one of the stars on The Handmaid's Tale. Riley and Crompton are both Wheatley veterans, the former for Free Fire and the latter popping up in Kill List.
