With Bryan Cranston, James Franco and You, Me And The Apocalypse’s Megan Mullally already aboard Why Him?, the John Hamburg romantic-comedy has just added more comic chops in the shape of Key And Peele star Keegan-Michael Key.

Why Him? finds Cranston as regular Midwestern father Ned Fleming, who travels with his wife Barb (Mullally) to visit their daughter (Zoey Deutch) at her college. But he's less than thrilled when he discovers that she's dating a smart-mouthed, arrogant and smooth internet billionaire played by Franco. Cue a competition between the two.

Key will pop up as Franco’s butler and manager of his estate, a man charged with keeping the tech-entrepreneur’s crazed life in some kind of order. His recent big screen appearances include Tomorrowland, Vacation and as the voice of Murray the mummy in Hotel Transylvania 2

Hamburg wrote the script with regular collaborator Ian Helfer, and is planning to kick off shooting next month in LA.
