Keanu Reeves Talks Man Of Tai Chi

If **The Matrix **taught us anything (besides the fact that we should watch out for the PC in the corner and to stop staring at the woman in the red dress), it’s that Keanu Reeves knows kung fu. He’s been aiming for a while to put what was digitally poured into his brain to good use, and seems closer than ever to directing and co-starring in fighting flick Man of Tai Chi.

"We want to do it in Chinese and English, do it as kind of a co-production with CFG perhaps, which is a Chinese film group, kind of a studio. It's tricky,” he tells MTV. The film will apparently be set in modern times, but would act as an homage to classic kung fu films. Oh, and Reeves will be playing the villain.

He also promises that it’ll be loaded down with action: “There's 18 fights. We've timed it out. It's about 40 minutes of fighting. I want to make a good, solid kung fu movie. Good story, good plot — but let's get some good kung fu going!"

According to the actor, he and his producing partners have yet to line up the proper financing to get the movie made, but he’s confident. And he’s busy on another martial arts-flavoured project anyway, gearing up to appear in Carl Rinsch’s 3D Samurai revenge pic 47 Ronin for Universal…
