It's been a while since Greg and Colin Strause got behind a camera to actually direct a movie, and given that that film was 2007's Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem, we can sort of see why they've been focused on running their CG effects company. But they're back with two projects, and the first, supernatural thriller Skyline, has grabbed itself a cast.
Kate Mara, Eric Balfour and Fast & Furious' Laz Alonzo are all signed on to the film, which finds a group of friends awoken in the night by a mysterious light invading their home. Turns out some alien force is slowly swallowing the entire human race for some nefarious reason and a small band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world crumbles around them.
The sibling directors will kick off shooting next month, and then likely segue on to catching mange.
Sorry, directing Mange, which boasts Brett Ratner as a producer and sees an arrogant thug forced to save his estranged brother from a psycho and take down the mob, all while on a hallucinogenic drug trip.
Sounds more like something that Crank duo Neveldine and Taylor would dream up, but it has at least caught our attention…
