After a long time in development, drama The Only Living Boy In New York has been gaining some momentum in recent years thanks to director Marc Webb. Now the movie has added someone new to its cast, with Kate Beckinsale joining up.

Written by Allan Loeb, the movie finds Callum Turner as a recent college graduate who discovers that his father (Jeff Bridges) has been having an affair. But instead of shunning the woman in question (Beckinsale), he starts his own relationship with her. Which, we imagine, would make for the most awkward family reunion in history.

Dope's Kiersey Clemons is also aboard, and Webb will start the cameras rolling next month with the backing of Amazon Studios. Beckinsale was last seen in Love & Friendship and will next be back in Selene's bodysuit for the next instalment of the vampire action franchise, Underworld: Blood Wars, out here on February 3.
