With the success of last year's comedy Bad Moms, studio STX is practically planning its own cinematic universe around the original. There's a Bad Dads spin-off in development, but the focus is on the sequel, A Bad Moms Christmas, which will once again star Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis and Kathryn Hahn. And now, in a supporting role, Justin Hartley.

He's become best known recently for hit US drama This Is Us, and is joining the cast to play Ty Swindle, a handsome firefighter who moonlights as a stripper for cash by night. And he'll end up forming a love (or at least lust) connection with Hahn's Carla. As for the main story of the film, the new one sees the moms' stress levels go through the roof during the festive season when their own mothers arrive.

Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are once more writing and directing this one, and it'll hit US cinemas on November. No UK date has been announced, but we'd expect it to head over here shortly afterwards.
