With A Monster Calls director Juan Antonio Bayona deep into preparing to make the sequel to 2015's monster hit Jurassic World, he's been steadily adding new castmembers to support returning leads Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Now he's recruiting Daniella Pineda for what is described as a major role in the movie.
Exactly what that means at this point is unclear, as both the plot and any character details are secreted behind giant walls to avoid them escaping and causing chaos. We can expect the usual dino-chaos given a fresh twist by writer/producers Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, with Rafe Spall, Toby Jones and Justice Smith all also in the human line-up.
Pineda's career has been weighted more towards TV until recently, and she's one of the stars of US sitcom The Detour. But she has also been seen in movies such as The Fitzgerald Family Christmas and Sleeping With Other People.
Jurassic World's sequel promises to be something on quite another level for the actress and the movie will arrive on 22 June next year.
