As we head into the weekend, here's one more exclusive image from the new issue of Empire, on shelves now. Today's tease is from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and this large, scaly monster giving us the prehistoric eye.

For the feature accompanying the still we spoke to director J.A. Bayona, coming straight from his superb A Monster Calls to replace Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow.

"Fallen Kingdom stars with a massive action piece that feels like a James Bond prologue," he tells us. "And in the centre there is the biggest set-piece ever done for a Jurassic movie." The plot sees our heroes this time trying to save the dinosaurs from Islar Nublar, which turns out to have been a massive volcano that's about to erupt. Oops.

Franchise veterans BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum are back, along with new blood Justice Smith, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Ted Levine, James Cromwell and more.

Trevorrow wrote the screenplay with regular collaborator Derek Connolly, and we can expect the stampede to begin on June 7 next year.

The new Empire, on the other hand, is out now. Subscribe here or buy the single issue online here{ =nofollow}.
