If you’ve read Empire’s world-exclusive Jurassic World Dominion issue, you’ll have heard all about the Giganotosaurus, the massive new prehistoric predator ready to cause chaos in the sixth dino flick. And now, you can see more of the fearsome new foe in action in the second stellar trailer for Colin Trevorrow’s trilogy-closer – one which also brings new glimpses of the scaly setpieces, and brand new footage of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, and Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum’s returning original trio, Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm. Phew. Between that major bikes-vs-raptors sequence, the Giga-centric showdown, and the Pyroraptor standoff, this looks epic even by Jurassic standards. Plus, we get a sense of some more story here – with the capture of beloved raptor Blue’s adorable baby Beta sparking a hunt to reunite mother and daughter. Awww. There’s still major joy to be found in seeing the OG Jurassic Park characters back in action together too, and – as promised by Trevorrow – a greater number of practical effects at play this time. The Giga itself looks to be a seriously impressive bit of puppeteering.
