She's brightened screens (to award-nominated effect) for two-and-a-half seasons on Ted Lasso so far, but since the Apple TV+ series appears to be ending with this third season, Juno Temple is lining up other big gigs. She's now scored a role in the third Venom film opposite Tom Hardy.
Sure, swapping the friendly locker room and PR boutique of Lasso for the potential terror of facing an alien symbiote might not seem like the wisest choice, but that's the acting life for you.
Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote the first movie and wrote the second, is moving up to direct this third film, which is still being kept quiet plot-wise, but will see Hardy return as Eddie Brock/Venom the killer alien creature. There's no word yet on who Temple will play.
The new Venom has yet to announce a release date, but before that, Temple will be seen in the fifth season of TV's Fargo, which will be on screens at some point this year.
