Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron are in place for the leads of new comedy Flarsky, and director Jonathan Levine has been building the cast around them. He's now zeroing in on June Diane Raphael and Ravi Patel for the ensemble of funny folk.
The script, by The Interview's Dan Sterling finds Rogen as an unemployed journalist who is fighting misfortune and his own self-destructive habits. Despite everything that is going wrong in his life, he figures the best idea is to track down and try to win the heart of his former babysitter and childhood crush (Theron), who has gone on to become one of the most powerful and unattainable women on the planet. As for the new arrivals, they'll play key members of Theron's staff, and will no doubt be stealing scenes all over the place. They join a cast that also includes O'Shea Jackson Jr.
This move reunites Raphael with Rogen, as they both appear in James Franco's The Disaster Artist, due here on 6 December. Patel most recently worked on horror pic The Black String, which has yet to notch a UK release.
