We already know that Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black are all returning for the sequel to 2017's adventurous, video game-channelling hit Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. That might lead you to conclude that the four actors who played the teens finding themselves drawn into the game would likewise be back. And you'd be correct, as Alex Wolff, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman and Morgan Turner are all now confirmed for the new film.
Wolff played Spencer, the awkward geek who morphs into Johnson, Blain’s American football player Fridge shrinks into Hart, Iseman’s Bethany turns into Black, while Turner’s Martha becomes Gillan's action heroine.
Jake Kasdan is once again in the director's chair, this time adding a shared writing credit with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. The cast is swelling to include new recruits Danny DeVito, Danny Glover and Awkwafina, but the story has still yet to escape into the world. With production now kicking off, the movie will be in UK cinemas on 13 December. Which seems a gamble given that it's a few days before Star Wars: Episode IX launches, but after the success of the original going up against The Last Jedi, Sony has reason to feel more confident.
