There is movement on the next Captain America movie at Marvel. While the company is – naturally – not officially commenting for now, The Hollywood Reporter has heard that The Cloverfield Paradox director Julius Onah is aboard the make *Captain America 4* (as it's currently titled, but certainly won't be by the time it hits cinemas).

Anthony Mackie is starring, having taken over the Cap mantle properly at the end of Disney+ series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier last year.

Malcolm Spellman, who was head writer on the show, is at work on a script alongside Dalan Musson, who was one of Falcon's staff writers.

Onah most recently made Luce, which scored kudos at Sundance and was nominated for awards. Prior to that, he directed *The Cloverfield Paradox*. There's no word yet on when the new Cap film might head to screens.
