One took home and Oscar this year for Still Alice, while the other is in the awards conversation for 2016's ceremony with Carol. And now, 13 years after they worked together on Far From Heaven, Julianne Moore and Todd Haynes are re-teaming for Wonderstruck.

Haynes is adapting the children’s novel that comes from The Invention Of Hugo Cabret’s Brian Selznick. It follows two deaf children, Ben and Rose, who have an intertwined adventure. Ben runs away from his family home in Minnesota in 1977 and heads for New York when his mother dies and a mysterious note arrives at his house. Rose, who is locked up in a house in New Jersey – but in 1927 – also plots an escape to the Big Apple, dreaming of seeing her idol, film actress Lillian Mayhew.

This reunion makes sense, since they both scored Oscar nominations for Far From Heaven and they made a great team. Haynes has producer Christine Vachon once more aboard for this one.

Haynes’ Carol, starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, will be out here on November 27. Before that, on November 19, you’ll be able to see Moore as President Alma Coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
