Signs on for new horror thriller

Julianne Moore Says Gimme Shelter

Julianne Moore, eh? That poor woman really puts herself through the wringer. She's tussled with dinosaurs (Jurassic Park: The Lost World), Hannibal Lecter (Hannibal) and the end of civilisation as we know it (Children Of Men), not to mention having a child abducted twice (The Forgotten and Freedomland). But she must have been scarred by being branded "ginger" as a child, because she's still ready for more abuse.

Yes, she's signed on for "supernatural horror thriller" Shelter, but no details have been released about the plot. So we're just going to have to deduce the storyline from what we know about those involved. Hmm, it's written by Michael Cooney, who's the man responsible for both Identity (so mind games?) and Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman (so set in winter?). The directors are Swedish duo (so, what, Abba songs and a chessgame with Death?)Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, best known for 2005's Storm, a sort of fantasy thriller.

In summation, then, we have no idea. But on the bright side, shooting starts in late March in Pittsburgh, with a budget of $22-25 million (so probably more with the creep than the CG monsters then), so we won't have to wait too long to find out more.

So, c'mon Empire readers, what are your best guesses for the plot?
