Those who heard Jesse Eisenberg on a recent episode of the Empire Podcast will know that the man has a creative mind and writes a lot of work. He's also now making his directorial debut with a comedy drama called When You Finish Saving The World and has scored Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard to star.

And this being Eisenberg, it's not quite that simple, as he's also written an Audible Original audiobook which serves as the inspiration for the film. Plot details are, according to Deadline, being kept quiet, but that it's a mother-son tale. As for the audiobook, it's set over three decades, and follows three members of a family: Nathan, a father learning to connect with his newborn son; Rachel, a young college student seeking to find her place in a relationship and in life; and Ziggy, a teenager hoping to figure out where he came from, and where he’s headed. Wolfhard will play a voice in the show, while Kaitlyn Dever is in talks to join.

Emma Stone, seen alongside Eisenberg in the two Zombieland movies, is on to produce the film, and it'll shoot when the schedule can be figured out. Production of all movies is on hold for now, and Wolfhard's Coronavirus-impacted commitment to Stranger Things 4 is also a factor.
