Some people never learn. After starring in no less than three Resident Evil films, Milla Jovovich still hasn't got the gaming bug out of her system, signing up to join the film adaptation of the Clock Tower slasher game series with Brittany Snow.

The game series features a baddie called Scissorman, who kills people with a giant pair of scissors (really), and enjoys hunting and tracking his victims. Our heroine Alyssa Barron, played by Hairspray's Brittany Snow, has to survive as he hunts her down, while figuring out some family secrets at the same time. Beyond that, there are wildly differing synopses out there, so we'll leave it to you.

Shooting starts in November, based on a script by Eric Poppen with The Hills Have Eyes II director Martin Weisz calling the shots. Will this be the one to break the game-to-film curse? To be honest, we'd be amazed, but hope springs eternal, eh?
