He's tackled ingrained racist exploitation, doppelgängers and alien abduction, but can Jordan Peele make Christmas terrifying? We'd say most likely, but while his next film is set to launch during the festive season, it's not clear yet whether it will have anything to do with Santa, Christmas trees or anything else of that nature.
Universal has announced that the filmmaker's next outing will indeed debut (in the States, at least) on 25 December 2024. It's a potentially risky spot since Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and, perhaps more crucially, the third Avatar movie will have opened the week before and we know that James Cameron's franchise tends to hoover up screens and audiences even more effectively than Nope's cloud-hiding creature snatches people and horses.
At this point, as is traditional with Peele, we know nothing about what the movie might be — no title, casting or even genre have been announced yet.
In related Peele news, he's also producing a new movie from another filmmaker via his Monkeypaw company, but again, all we know of that is the release date – 27 September, 2024.
