With Jamie Foxx officially on board to be the crime boss who causes trouble for Ansel Elgort in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, the director has found someone else to menace the young wheelman. Jon Hamm, fresh off winning a well-deserved Emmy for Mad Men, has signed up to be a villain{ =nofollow}.

Elgort is playing a talented young getaway driver who uses his personal soundtrack to be the best in the business. But then a doomed heist throws a spanner into the works of his life, putting him at risk as well as the people he loves (including Lily James as a waitress he meets and falls for). Foxx’s criminal kingpin is the man who hires him for the job, and it going south won’t bode well for our hero’s life expectancy.

Hamm, meanwhile, is taking on the role of a former Wall Street trader who has switched gigs to the slightly less illegal trade of bank robbery. But he’s also a mercenary type who kills cops. He’s currently finishing up work on comedy Keeping Up With The Joneses and is attached to a couple of other films including **High Wire Act **and Marjorie Prime.

Wright should be rolling the **Baby Driver **cameras and wheels later this year, ready for a March 17, 2017 release date.
