As Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark once more interacts with Tom Holland's Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming, it makes sense that we might see someone associated with Stark in the movie. That someone? Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan.

The driver-turned-head of security for Stark Industries hasn't been seen on screen since Iron Man 3 (he sensibly skipped Captain America: Civil War, and probably took Pepper Potts' side in the split between her and Stark), but according to Variety, he'll show up in the new Spidey movie.

We don't yet know what he'll be up to, and we doubt Favreau will have loads of screen time, but it'll be nice to see him interacting with Tony again, and it's partly thanks to Favreau that we're at this point anyway, given his helping to launch the ever-expanding MCU with the first two Iron Man films.

Homecoming is still shooting in Atlanta with Holland joined by actors including Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Zendaya and Tony Revolori. And there's another MCU link with Captain America: The First Avenger's Kenneth Choi playing Principal Morita, the grandson of the first Cap film's Jim Morita.

With Jon Watts directing, Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into UK cinemas on July 7 next year. Favreau last made the hugely successful new Jungle Book and is developing a sequel.
