Joker George Ejected

For some years now George Clooney has been cementing his reputation as a practical joker. Previous japes with his roommates and colleagues have included everything from plastic-wrapped toilets to vaseline-covered doorknobs, and depositing something unmentionable in a friend's kitty litter tray. Now it appears that the joke has finally backfired on Clooney. Currently working on his directorial debut Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in Montreal, Clooney - who's particularly fond of going around in disguise - managed to get himself ejected from a Montreal restaurant after being accused of trying to rob the till. According to PeopleNews.com, the restaurateur had no idea he had thrown Clooney out until the actor's assistant called the next day to complain. 'I'd like to offer him my most sincere apology,' the embarrassed restaurateur said, 'but he looked like a cross between a courier and a street punk.'
