Bond 25 might be facing delays in the wake of Danny Boyle’s departure, but there’s another British super-spy you can count on (or not) in the meantime. Rowan Atkinson is back as Johnny English in the third instalment of his spy spoof series, Johnny English Strikes Again – and this time he’s trying to take down a cyber-attacker who’s outed all of the UK’s top agents.
Empire has an exclusive clip from the upcoming comedy, showing English picking his latest vehicle – an Aston Martin. Which is all very appropriate, except it’s bright red. Not so ideal for sleuthing around.
Coming seven years on from Johnny English Reborn, this time Atkinson is joined by the likes of Emma Thompson and actual former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, while Ben Miller of course returns as trusty sidekick Bough. Unless there are any “creative differences” on this one, Johnny English Strikes Again will arrive in UK cinemas on 5 October.
