We've wondered for a while what the third John Wick movie would be called – it looked like it might just be John Wick: Chapter Three. Now we know that Lionsgate seems intent on cramming on Parabellum, too. And the first official poster for the film is now online.
This latest outing for Keanu Reeves' hitman finds Wick frozen out of the support system offered by his union and the Continental hotel chain, a consequence of slaying one of his fellow assassins in the New York branch. And not just any killer, but a member of the High Table, who ordered a contract on John's head. With $14 million promised to whoever takes down Wick, our punchy hero has an hour's grace period before he's officially "excommunicado".
Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Laurence Fishburne are back on duty, with new faces this time including Anjelica Huston, Halle Berry and Jason Mantzoukas. John Wick: Chapter Three – Parabellum (the last bit mean "prepare for war" in Latin and is also a type of gun... which seems fitting) will fire its way to our screens on 17 May. And if you're excited to see a trailer, that will drop on Thursday, as this tease makes clear...
