In all the exciting casting announcements surrounding John Wick: Chapter 4, one crucial returning veteran was consistently left unnamed. We now know Ian McShane will officially return as Winston.
Yes, the owner of the New York branch of the Continental Hotel, who has been both a friend and (as directed by his higher-ups) foe to Keanu Reeves' central figure will be bringing his suited style to the new movie. Lance Reddick's Charon and Laurence Fishburne's Bowery King are among the other returning faces alongside Reeves, while newcomers to the franchise include Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Marko Zaror, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins and Bill Skarsgård.
"I couldn’t be happier than to welcome Ian McShane back to John Wick: Chapter 4, enthuses director Chad Stahelski. "He is not only an amazing actor but is an indispensable collaborator who has helped define the world of John Wick." The story has yet to be revealed, but we do know it'll see Wick as ever battling foes from his past and present, with cameras rolling and production set for New York, France, Germany and Japan, among other places.
