Being John Malkovich

R.E.M. frontman, Michael Stipe is not John Malkovich. Okay? Yes they do bear a slight resemblance (read: separated at birth!) but, despite the similarity, each is very much his own man. Regularly mistaken for the Con Air star, Stipe often has Malkovich groupies asking for his autograph without so much as a passing reference to the numerous hit albums he has been responsible for. "Apart from the fact that he's much taller, we really do look alike," he told Spiegel magazine. "But it's bizarre when people start explaining how much they enjoy my way of acting." Cheer up Michael, it's better than being mistaken for Moby.
