With the cameras already cranking, the casting ranks for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s new comedy film** The Nest **have begun to swell ever faster. John Leguizamo has signed on to bring his particular style to the film, though his role is currently unknown.
Saturday Night Live veteran Paula Pell wrote the script, which will find Fey and Poehler as two 30-something sisters shocked to discover that their parents (including dad James Brolin) have put the family house up for sale and are downsizing to a condo to enjoy their retirement. The new living arrangements mean that the sisters will have to figure out somewhere else to live, since the “nest” is no longer available, but they decide to go out with one last big party.
Bad Neighbours’ Ike Barinholtz is aboard as a neighbour who may provide some romantic interest for Fey, while** Pitch Perfect**’s Jason Moore is calling the shots.
Leguizamo is set to be back on UK screens next week, cooking up comedy drama with Jon Favreau in the writer / director / actor’s latest, Chef. The busy actor also has the likes of Cymbeline, The Man On Carrion Road, American Ultra and A Conspiracy On Jekyll Island working their way through post-production.
