A Quiet Place

Though we've known for a while that John Krasinski will be deeply involved in the sequel to last year's horror-thriller hit A Quiet Place, other details remained fluid. Thanks to an Instagram post by the co-writer/director/co-star and other reports, we now know that Krasinski will once again call the shots and Emily Blunt will be back to star.

Blunt and Krasinski are not the only ones returning, as young actors Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds – who played the pair's kids in the story of a family surviving a post-apocalyptic world where humans are hunted by sharp-eared alien creatures – are also in talks to appear. Which points to a sequel continuing the story with Blunt and her family (including a newborn) trying to make a new life in the wake of (spoiler alert) Krasinski's character's death.

Krasinski has been at work on the script with original writers Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, and Paramount has this one scheduled to tiptoe into cinemas on 15 May next year.
